Students of our college developed SIM-Linked ATS(Anti Theft System).This device can be used through commands in the form of SMS messages. Wen the vehicle equipped with the device was stolen, the owner automatically gets three SMS in succession stating that the vehicle was in motion. The location of the vehicle was also provided by showing the mobilke tower point. Then the owner can lock the vehicle or switch off the ignition through SMS. This device was developed by Final year Mechanical Engineering Students, Mr. Vishnu S, Mr. Maneesh M, Mr. Anas A and Mr. Ijas MR under the guidance of Prof. Vishnu Vijayan. The process for gaining patent of this device is under progress.
